I am now headed to tumblr, but this time with my own domain name.

I still remember the time I moved to wordpress from blogger. WordPress had been my platform of choice as they added features and faster and better than anyone else at that time.

Tumblr seems to be make it easy to use all kinds of media in our posts – short posts / long posts / photos / videos etc and I like that.

If you haven’t ever watched a Ted video yet, check this out - http://www.ted.com/talks/hans_rosling_at_state.html. It’s one of the best talks I’ve heard on TED. I use miro to download videos from rss feeds. You can directly download from their webpage as well. They give you a direct download button for every talk in its webpage.

Now, have you felt it? Why is it so? My hypothesis is that when looking at life in a long-term perspective, there’ll be little that is off-average which can be spoken about. Of the short term, the variance will be more.

True, as most of us would have experienced with one thing or the other.

Logically, is there a solution to this?

How enjoyable the world would be, if only!

Have you noticed that often when you break a habbit, it suddenly seems so much more difficult to carry out, though you had easily and routinely performed the activity earlier.

To do things on time is a habbit. Not doing it on time is also a habbit.

Check your twitter timeline, you blog post frequency. Things done regularly get done, and the rest simply get ignored though there might have been bandwidth to do it.

So. what?

Are you late for the daily morning office cab everyday?

Do you read the newspaper everyday?

Are you late for lunch with your colleagues everyday?

Are you late in your project deliverables every time?

Are you late in coming back home from office regularly?

Do you miss brushing you teeth in the night often?

Do your clear your google reader backlog everyday?

After all, what an inspirational book (or a how-to-lose-weight or a how-to-make-money ) do is to provide guidelines.

If it doesn’t get done, it doesn’t get done.

Its a talk by Harsha Bhogle at IIM-A, about life, his college, professional career, personal ideals beautifully analysed and presented. Highly inspirational. Lot to learn about life, career and excellence from this man.

A must-watch, though agreeably, its a bit long. Trust me, take time out and watch it within this week, you’ll love it.

How many things do we continue to do, just because we have started them?

Shouldn’t we try to be more productive, by learning to stop doing some things halfway, when required, and move on.

It does take some effort; after all, isn’t that exactly newton’s first law?

I thought about independently and wished to coin this new term today, but alas, found that Raiedzall had already done it 6 months ago here.

Good! If not for the free and wide internet, wouldn’t many invention efforts be duplicated?

How many man years would have been spent on re-inventing the wheel?

and how much more power given to the centralized repositories of knowledge ?

The internet is the greatest accelerator of mankind’s progress.
